We currently have the largest population of teenagers in history and whatever direction they take, so will they take our nation! Today’s teens are under more stress than ever before and as a result are turning to destructive behavior in order to escape it, deal with it, or just fit in.
- Rising Tides:
- American homes do not provide the stability or security they used to
- The ever increasing number of fatherless homes or absent fatherly relationships
- The decreased bonding time between parent and child
- The increased lack of supervision, especially with TV, Internet, movies, camera phones
- The financial situation of the average American family and our government is far more stressful and outright scary than ever before
- The education in our schools is diminishing while violence is increasing
